A vegbox scheme is on the radar, affiliated with the market but an independant community project for the customers of the Parson’s Green area. Currently the area North of the river in this part of West London is not served by a box scheme. We aim to fill this gap in coverage. For now the best way to do this is to partner with an existing box scheme, which we can do. Unfortunately the nearest vegbox scheme does not cover north of the river/Parson’s Green, but does cover just over the river, South of us in Putney. We aim to partner with this scheme who will deliver orders from our customers in the Parson’s Green area to a ‘drop off’ point South of the river (Putney/Putney Bridge area) and we will then keep the boxes there for collection by Parson’s Green residents ,or if able, deliver to addresses in Parson’s Green.
If you can help, by finding or helping at a drop off point, or with deliveries in the area please get in touch.
Eventually, when a market is up and running, we would like to organize a box scheme involving the farmers who attend our market (amongst others) and serve as large an area around Parson’s Green and Fulham as we can. We need volunteers to make this happen, and would like to hear from anyone who is interested in being a part of such a volunteer team to separate and distribute farm fresh produce for our own community vegbox scheme.
